· CHARACTER DESIGN PROJECTS > SILK ROAD
EXERCISE: Create 2 characters (a civilian and a military) and 2 creatures (one familiar and one mount) that can travel a path of economic, diplomatic and cultural exchanges in the style of the Silk Road, in a universe you would have designed and created.

· CHARACTER DESIGN PROJECTS > ENCANTO
CHALLENGE: Draw a character that could come from the Madrigal Family in Encanto.

EXERCISE: Choose 3 real animals (a mammal, a reptile & an insect), draw them in profile, establish their skeleton in a simplified manner then place them in perspective. Choose 3 real animals to draw them as anthropomorphs: choose a specific culture & era and place them in corresponding costumes & roles.

EXERCISE: In the tradition of action/espionage films, create 2 characters and the dynamics of their relationship (duo, rivals...), 1 relic (what they covet, their objective), 1 gadget (accessory, weapon) and take into account the geo-political context of the chosen decade, the technologies existing at the time and the clothing styles.

EXERCISE: Create a character from a student in the class, and taking inspiration from his physique and personality, associate him with a class (warrior, thief, mage), an element (water, fire, plant) and a shape (round, square, triangle).

EXERCISE: Design a street that could belong to the movie "Dark City", with buildings typically coming from the 1950s in the USA . Then "colour" it in shades of gray according to the teacher Jérôme Benoît's style.

EXERCISE: Cleaning a sketch from our teacher and Layout Artist Jérôme Benoît. Worked on the coloring of the lineart in Digital Painting class, with our teacher and Background Artist Christine Falaise.

Storyboards
· STORYBOARD & ANIMATIONS
EXERCISE 1: The 24 students in the class divide up an equivalent duration of frames to animate according to a 2min30 track sleected by the teacher: you must create a character design, a dance and a transition between each change of animator and character. The dance must be in rhythm with the music.

EXERCISE 2: For the end of year project, even if it was not obligatory, I created with Précilia Thallot (who cleaned the rough version) and Mélina Goncalves (who did a part of Olivier's rough turn) two animated turns of our characters.

EXERCISE: A project for a YouTube video I made in 2020.
· 2024 END OF THE YEAR PROJECT (work in progress)
ASSIGNMENT: Produce a 2D animated film of maximum 150 seconds (2'30"), credits included, on the theme "A fond !" (= to the max) in a group of 4 students. The Pre-production phase ends in February, and the Production starts in March. My coworkers on this project are Alexis Delozanne, Mélina Goncalves, and Précilia Thalot. So far, as the head of my team, I have especially worked on the scenario, the storyboard, the reference background and the color script.

2023 Film
COMMISSION: Produce a 2D animated short clip inspired by the style of Robbie Shilstone, in which both the saxophonist Michel Supéra and the accordeonist Eric Colmère enter the scene, shake hands and start playing an extract of their forthcoming album "Impressions françaises", on a background by Dominique Maréchal.

· 2023 END OF THE YEAR PROJECT
ASSIGMENT: You are being given an extract of a movie of 30 seconds; rewrite a story inside of which this scene could fit, create your own artistic direction, design as many characters as there are people present in your extract, design the backgrounds and respect the moves and dialogues of the actors in the original source. I was given an extract from the movie "The Nice Guys" (Shane Black, 2016) and write the story of a lame clown who fails his attempt at making a prestidigitation number.

MAKING OF : We were asked to record all of the steps of the production of our movies and edit them to showcase the evolution of our first year's individual project.

· STOP MOTION WORKSHOP
ASSIGMENT: iIn a group of thin the span of a 5 days long workshop, create a Stop Motion film with at least one character. You'll have to create the puppets, backgrounds and sound design out of scratch, bringing your own materials. The movie should at least be 30 seconds long, opening and ending not included. For this project, I've worked with Alice Deschutter, Julie Froger, Kalliyane Mortreuil, Korentin Le Borgne and Aglaée Stroun.
